Color Profiles are settings that can be saved into a Taste. A Taste saves collections of an almost unlimited number of settings in SILKYPIX.
Selecting the Right Color Profile
A Color Profile gives you more control over color. Color Profiles include:
- V.4 Compatible. Preserve your settings from SILKYPIX Developer Studio 4
- Natural. The default setting of SILKYPIX Developer Studio 5 and SILKYPIX Developer Studio 6
- Faithful. Introduces excellent tonal qualities
- Monochrome. Conversion to monochrome
Select a Color Profile and you have access to different Color Representations that are applicable to each Color Profile.
Faithful color saturation is maintained even when contrast is changed. Compare Natural / Standard Representation with Faithful / Standard Representation:
Natural provides vivid color, but Faithful provides smoother tone values.
Color Profile Faithful and Tone
If you make changes to tone and contrast with the Faithful Color Profile, you do not have surprises in color saturation. Compare Low Contrast, Standard (No Contrast Change) and High Contrast changes:
