The RAW photo format DNG version 1.6 updated the specification to identify area based information which is supported by the AppleProRAW system. AppleProRAW was introduced with the iPhone 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max, and utilizes Apple’s A14 Bionic neural engine. It allows identification of objects using masks such as Portrait, Skin and Sky.
